Drawing inspiration from tennis star, Chris Evert, who famously won the sports world over with her talent – former world’s No.1 with a record breaking 18 singles title! – and the fashion world’s attention with her on court sartorial choices. Famously donning all white lace to compete, this season, Sretsis pays homage to Evert with exclusively developed 100% cotton “Daisy Eyelet”. Never one to sacrifice style and practicality, a selection of pristine all-white ensembles are good enough on and off the court, especially when styled with “Leopard Kiss” jean essentials. Relaxed and unlined blazers, pleated mini skorts, and collared playsuits give a glimpse of how Sretsis imagines sportswear. The game-set-match looks are juxtaposed with show-stopping pieces that showcase the meticulous craftsmanship of the atelier with patchworked eyelet and embroidered lace tapes which explore the sincere heart shape on bodices of bralettes and made-to-order “Heart Lace Cape”.
Further exploring the chasms of identities and uniforms, a selection of Clueless-meets-Valley of the Dolls inspired looks takes form with hand-painted cotton Gingham. Roll call for candy hued classics with a mix of mod and baby doll thrown in with rebellious spirit. The skirts are short, the fit is tailored, and the attitude is naughty-but-nice. A selection of daringly feminine dresses in “Ditsy Kiss” print – small tiny clusters of flowers emboldened with scattered kisses – are a testament of signature dresses synonymous with the brand.
