FALL – WINTER 2020

THE DREAMERS

“I LOVE THE SILENT HOUR OF NIGHT,
FOR BLISSFUL DREAMS MAY THEN ARISE,
REVEALING TO MY CHARMED SIGHT
WHAT MAY NOT BLESS MY WAKING EYES.”
– ANNE BRONTË

WE ENTER THE DREAMLIKE STATE OF SRETSIS FALL – WINTER 2020 “THE DREAMERS”,
A GROWN UP FANTASY EXPLORING THE DISTINCTION
BETWEEN DREAMS, SURREALISM, AND REALITY.  AN ABSTRACT IDEA OF
THE BLURRED LINE BETWEEN REALITY AND DREAM STATE TAKES SHAPE
WITH A COLLECTION THAT QUESTIONS WHETHER THE DREAM WORLD IN WHICH
WE CONJURE MAY IN FACT CO-EXIST SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH WHAT IS REAL,
AND IF SO, WHO IS TO SAY THAT WHAT IS REAL IS NOT WHAT IS DREAMT.
AS THE LEADER OF SURREALIST MOVEMENT ANDRÉ BRETON ONCE STATED,
“WHAT IS ADMIRABLE ABOUT THE FANTASTIC IS THAT
THERE IS NO LONGER ANYTHING FANTASTIC: THERE IS ONLY THE REAL.”
THIS IDEA TOOK SHAPE AND INFORMED A TANGIBLE COLLECTION
THAT IS DIVIDED INTO A TRILOGY OF FANTASTICAL OFFERINGS
WE DARED DREAM UP INTO A REALITY.
