Honing in on the skills of rarefied dress-making and old-world construction on couture-like shapes, this season the Sretsis woman is ready to tackle the world, one coordinated and concise look at a time. From ‘gentlewomen’ looks – sharp tailored suits and femme fatale forms – to the 7-day essential dresses that cracks the Sretsis DNA of its most tried and trusted silhouettes, and finishing off with 80’s couture pomp and puff proportions that bring back the glitz and glamor of dressing to the nines.
Gentlewomen tailoring and uniform dressing, instilled within Sretsis dichotomy of harmoniously incorporating corporate looks with a feminine flourish, is shown for Fall – Winter 2024 and this season, our women mean business. Tailored pantsuits showcase a roomy cut, while accentuated waists and hips on punctuated silhouettes polarize the decorum of boardroom dressing for the modern CEO who isn’t afraid to show a little – or a lot – of legs. Hand-crafted “Dotty Rose Pin” and menswear inspired butterfly bow tie pins and barrettes finish off the dapper look. Taking inspiration from 90’s proportions, blazers are oversized, and also worn with “Ditsy Ludo” print on 100% cotton voile prairie styles that are layered with the finest Chantilly lace. The ‘Ditsy Ludo’ looks are also worn with vegan corn leather outerwear, first introduced in Fall – Winter 2023 and printed with “Rose Bouquet” motif for this collection. The ruffled and velvet-bowed pieces worn with tailored jackets prove that opposites do attract with a proposition for Bohemian-meets-Wall Street dressing that can really only be described as essentially Sretsis.
Fundamentally a dress-forward brand, Sretsis has been finessing and fine-tuning the infinitudes of details on perfecting the perfect dresses. From form to fit, the “7-Day Essential” dresses inspired by iconic Sretsis muses cover all the bases for your every need. Seven distinct silhouettes are designed alongside four signature collars. “Daisy Eyelet Peter-Pan Collar” and “Cut-work Rosa and Daisy Bib” shown in satin, intricate “Rose Embroidered Tulle Collar” and “Daisy Guipure Lace Collar” finish off the seven essential dresses in classic Sretsis prints.
The “Essential Dots” print, Sretsis’ iteration of the monogram with hidden stars, logos, and this season, a single red heart, is presented in satin, rayon, viscose chiffon. Manifested on dresses, separates, and cocktail essentials the heart polka dot is a riff on something familiar that feels completely new, especially when florals are thrown in the mix. Dotting the lines to eveningwear are blinged out polka dots with hot-fixed crystal “Heart Sparks Velvet”. The luxe fabrication is elevated with animal-friendly glamor in the form of faux-feather trimming that gives each look a flight of fancy.
If once couture was just a dream, this season Sretsis wakes it up and presents it firmly in reality. Luxurious fabrications like Chantilly Lace crafted on old-fashion French looms and “Rose Bouquet” jacquard brocade exhibit Sretsis signature ‘tongue-in-chic’ approach to etiquette dressing. Bridalwear quality Chantilly lace is presented on elevated classic pieces like Victorian inspired blouse and sensual pencil skirts that are the building blocks to completing the unexpected layering of the collection. “Rose Bouquet Brocade” in couture inspired puffs and proportions punctuate the collection with evening separates, show-stopping bubble belt and cocktail looks that pack a powerful punch.
